We deliver what we promise and learn along the way. What We're Looking For:The Category Manager will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize OPENLANE's direct or indirect spend. This strategic role will play a critical part on the Procurement leadership team developing and driving category level strategies, developing relationships with key senior stakeholders, executing key, complex negotiations, while also leading and coaching analysts in negotiation strategy and development. You Will:Lead and oversee high-impact category strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives Develop a comprehensive understanding of the categories assigned such as technology, transportation, Canadian parts and services and other overall category managementBe accountable for optimizing Total Cost of Ownership for one or more spend categories (Logistics / IT / Telecom/MRO/ BPO/etc.), in close partnership with the businessCollaborate with executive leadership to develop and refine category strategies, to include defining objectives, timelines and creating success metricsLead change initiatives and facilitate adopting new processes, systems and practices across the organizationDrive a culture of continuous improvement identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiencies and optimize project outcomesLeverage spend analytics and market intelligence to identify and develop business cases for new cost optimization opportunitiesServe as primary point of contact for category stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns and soliciting feedbackDevelop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliersYou Have:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or related areaMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing and category management Experience with opportunity diagnostic, purchase to pay and procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract managementDemonstrated analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and project management skills Strong collaboration skills with proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders in all levels of management to optimize Total Cost of OwnershipExcellent written, verbal and presentation skillsAbility to perform in fast paced, dynamic organization with time sensitive deadlinesWhat We Offer: Competitive payMedical, dental, and vision benefits with employer HSA contributions (US) and FSA options (US)Immediately vested 401K (US) or RRSP (Canada) with company matchPaid Vacation, Personal, and Sick TimePaid maternity and paternity leave (US)Employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D (US)Robust Employee Assistance ProgramEmployer paid Leap into Service Day to volunteerTuition Reimbursement for eligible programsOpportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge across a publicly traded, global organizationCompany culture of internal promotions, diverse career paths, and meaningful advancement Sound like a match?
