We are a high-value expert in the areas of Bridge, Highway and other Transportation Construction; have successfully completed a myriad of diverse projects since 1987; are a certified Class A Contractor via the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). We have over $10 million in equipment and more than $60M in annual revenues.To join our team, we are looking for a traveling Superintendent with experience and a strong work ethic. The ideal applicant will be highly driven, have a great work ethic, and be a team player. Reliability, self-motivation, and a desire to be a part of a successful construction team are all necessary for this role. It is essential to have experience overseeing construction projects for highways, bridges, structures, and DOT work. Our projects will mostly take place in VA, while also having to travel to North Carolina, albiet rarely.Position OverviewThe Heavy Civil Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing heavy civil construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role involves coordinating with various teams and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the daily operations of heavy civil construction projects, including highways and bridges.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards set by the Department of Transportation (DOT).Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce quality control measures.Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for construction activities.Prepare and submit progress reports and updates to senior management.Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.QualificationsProven experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction projects, particularly with highways and bridges.Strong knowledge of construction management processes and safety regulations.Experience working with the Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and requirements.Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.Benefits401k - 4.5% Match VehicleFuel CardIpadComputerPhone3 weeks of PTOHolidays Email Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
