Position TitleDirector of Litigation – onsite in Atlanta, GA 30326SummaryA premier personal injury firm is seeking a high-performing Director of Litigation to lead its growing litigation team. This is an opportunity for an experienced trial lawyer who has first-chaired multiple seven- and eight-figure cases and is now ready to step into a leadership role. The ideal candidate is still energized by major trials but equally passionate about mentoring rising attorneys, driving strategy across the docket, and helping the firm maximize results on every case. This role functions at a Partner-level without the administrative burden of ownership, allowing the Director of Litigation to focus on building a powerhouse team and achieving life-changing outcomes for clients.SalaryBase salary between $250K–$400K with 20% of revenue generated, targeting total earnings between $400K–$1M+ annually.Job ResponsibilitiesManage a docket of high-value personal injury cases through all stages of litigation. Set strategic direction for significant cases to maximize settlements and verdicts. First-chair or co-chair major trials, particularly seven- and eight-figure matters. Mentor, train, and lead a team of litigators to ensure excellence in legal writing, motion practice, deposition performance, and trial advocacy. Oversee the quality and consistency of the litigation team's work product. Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives. Maintain exceptional communication with clients throughout the litigation process.QualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Georgia and in good standing. Ten or more years of litigation experience, with a strong background in personal injury. Mid-sized firm background, natural leader and mentor passionate about building a strong litigation team. Proven success first-chairing trials resulting in seven-figure outcomes. Excellent trial advocacy skills (voir dire, cross-examination, openings/closings). Deep knowledge of Georgia personal injury law and civil procedure.Preferred AttributesExperience owning or helping run a law firm is a strong plus. Highly strategic thinker who can operate at both the case and department level.
