Certified Medical Assistant

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a team in Inver Laguna Hills, CA 92653. This role focuses on delivering patient-centered care and providing essential support during clinical visits, ensuring smooth operations and a positive patient experience.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient care procedures under provider supervision.Meet ambulatory medical assistant clinical competencies.Follow established protocols for managing prescription refills and medication prior authorizations.Implement provider orders and ensure timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).Maintain organized and stocked exam rooms to ensure timely patient flow.Adhere to HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.Ensure all necessary forms are completed, reviewed for accuracy, and updated.Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.Answer phones, manage patient inquiries, and relay messages accurately.QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or GED.Medical Assistant certification preferred.CPR/BLS certification required.1-2 years of experience Required.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.Certification:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdditional Information:Location: Laguna Hills, CA 92653Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM/ 40 hours per weekContract Length: 8 weeks (Temp to Hire)Pay Rate: $20 - $23.40/hour*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.Interested?
