Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for X-Ray Technologist positions that will provide support for our client's healthcare systems in, New York City, New York, this is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Description:Job Title: X-Ray TechnologistLocation: New York City, New YorkSchedule: 40/weekShift: Sunday & Saturday: 8:45 AM – 5:30 PM and Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PMContract Length: 13 weeks Pay Range: $2500.00- $2600.00 Weekly DOEJob Summary:Operates radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.Prepares patients for procedures and ensures safety and compliance with regulations. Duties & Responsibilities:Identify patient service requirements by building rapport with patients.Reduce patient anxiety by providing clear explanations and answering questions.Position patients and adjust equipment for accurate imaging.Use radiation protection techniques and shielding to minimize exposure.Follow infection control policies and procedures.Ensure quality radiographs by following standards and making necessary adjustments.Chart patient care services and verify completion of exams.Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment; complete preventive maintenance.Monitor and manage radiology supply inventory.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Keep up-to-date with CME requirements and attend relevant training.Participate in professional development and contribute to team goals.Complete yearly age-specific competency and other duties as assigned. Skills & Requirements:2+ years of experience required.NY State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist.Strong skills in diagnostic procedures and equipment use.Excellent communication, planning, and teamwork skills.Dependable and focused on quality and safety. Education & Certification:Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.New York State License (L.R.T) required.ARRT Certification required.Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.6 months to 1 year related experience/training, or equivalent education/experience.May hold a current temporary permit under Section 3505 of the Public Health Law.
