Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will assist in providing therapy services that help residents regain strength, mobility, and independence.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.Assist residents in performing therapeutic exercises and functional activities.Monitor resident progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist.Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.Ensure safety and comfort of residents during therapy sessions.Comply with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Reliable and flexible with availability for per diem scheduling, including weekends or holidays as needed.Education & ExperienceCurrent California licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.CPR certification (BLS) required.Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
