This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise in a highly respected pathology department within one of Georgia’s leading hospitals.Position: HistotechnologistLocation: Atlanta, GA 30342Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Sunday–Thursday | 8-hour nightsContract Length: 13 weeksStart Date: June 2, 2025End Date: August 30, 2025Guaranteed Hours: 40 per weekNote: No local candidates within 50 miles permittedKey Responsibilities:Receive and accession pathology specimens from surgical proceduresCollect tissue blocks from the Pathologist Assistant staffProcess tissue, embed specimens, section samples, and perform slide stainingWork in a combined Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) departmentUtilize Cerner for lab documentation and trackingMaintain a high level of accuracy and compliance with lab protocols and safety standardsQualifications:Minimum 2 years of histology experience in a pathology labASCP certification required (HT or HTL)Completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an associate’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciencesStrong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high-volume lab environmentFamiliarity with tissue processing, microtomy, staining, and histopathology techniquesInterested?
