Processing Operator - 2nd Shift

The Processing Operator operates all UHT process equipment as trained, including automation system, processing machines, and powered industrial trucks while maintaining high quality standards that meet or exceed Puratos and customer requirements. Operators will be trained to operate UHT dosing equipment, scaling systems, packaging lines, and any powered industrial equipmentShift: 2nd: 2:30pm -11:00 pmPrimary ResponsibilitiesSafely work with automated industrial equipment, including operation, change over and basic maintenance.Report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and / Quality technician.Immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor, maintenance or management.Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of their work centerMaintain a neat and sanitary work area at all times Demonstrate the ability to operate and understand control systemLearn specific UHT areas until mastery is confirmed by completing training and testing requirementsScaling, manual dumping, supersack dosing, packaging equipment operation, running CIPs, and forklift operationRotate positions as needed.Review and start production orders in MES and the process control system.Collaborate with maintenance to resolve mechanical issues.Ensure production is not impeded throughout the shift.Identify production changes and suggest corrective actions.Operate and run CIP systems via the process control systemRequirements:At least 2 years working as operator in related industryHight School or GED requiredBasic computer literacy required; capacity to understand a computer operating systemAbility to use production computer screens as instructed. Ability to train other production operatorsSQF training, GMP training, SOP trainingAbility to complete skill assessments with passing scores as defined by PuratosAbility to read and understand system instruction and training materials and show ability to execute.Ability to work overtime when mandated in accordance with the contractAbility to work independentlyPhysical Demands: Frequently lift up to 55-75 lbs; Occasional sitting, stooping/twisting, kneeling, squatting, push/pull, reaching, and gripping; frequent standing and walking; constant visual acuity (near/far); never climbing/balancing or crawlingEnvironmental Conditions: Occasional exposure to uneven ground, excessive noise, extreme temperatures, working at heights, dust/fumes, and hazards; frequent exposure to machineryThe following common allergens are processed in our facilities: wheat, eggs, dairy, and soy.Looking for a Career for Good?Puratos is a global purpose-driven company focused on bringing people together through food innovation for good.
