Cataract Surgeon

We have unique opportunity for a Cataract Surgeon to join our busy surgical practice with significant volume at Lavenburg Medical Group in Elkton, MD and Newark, DE. We have our own ASC, so you will operate onsite and not be required to obtain hospital privileges. Our team of highly trained Optometrists, Opticians and Technicians, along with state-of-the-art equipment, allows our patients to receive the highest quality vision and eye care in the area.We offer full time and part time opportunities! Duties/Responsibilities:Performs comprehensive examinations of the visual system to determine the nature or extent of ocular disorders.Performs ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract, glaucoma, refractive, corneal, vitro-retinal, eye muscle, and oculoplastic surgeries.Diagnoses or treats injuries, disorders, and diseases of the eye and eye structures including the cornea, sclera, conjunctiva, and eyelids.Documents and evaluates patients’ medical histories.Performs, orders, and interprets results of diagnostic or clinical tests. Provides or directs the provision of postoperative care.
