Job Title:MRI TechnologistLocation: Elmhurst, NYShift: 1p-9p/ 4p-12mdHours: 5x8s (40hrs)Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. This role requires technical expertise, compassionate patient care, and consistent adherence to imaging protocols and safety standards.Required Skills & Experience:Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience working with relevant imaging equipment.Proficiency in operating MRI machines and using EMR systems.Education:Required:Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Certifications & Licensure:Required:Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License (NYSDOH).Advanced-level certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).Preferred:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Key Responsibilities:Conduct patient interviews and MRI safety screenings prior to all procedures.Verify patient identity using two approved identifiers in every interaction.Explain procedures clearly and address patient questions to ensure comfort and cooperation.Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, selecting appropriate technical and software settings for accurate imaging.Position and immobilize patients properly for optimal imaging results.Maintain a safe environment in the MRI suite (Zone 4), ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.Clean MRI scanners and exam rooms between patients to maintain hygiene and organization.Monitor equipment function and perform basic calibration and quality control tests; promptly report any malfunctions.Track and maintain imaging supply inventory, restocking as needed.Review and evaluate images for quality and accuracy before submitting to the Radiologist.Document procedures and patient encounters using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.Perform related duties as assigned, supporting departmental operations and clinical excellence.Travel:Stipend: (Non-Taxable)Lodging: $35/hr $1400/wkM&IE: $15/hr $600/wkTotal: $50/hr $2000/wkW2 (Taxable)Pay: $20/hr $800/wkGrand Total: $70/hr $2800/wkAfter Tax: $2,600/wk (rough estimate)____________________________________Local:W2:Pay: $60/hrWeekly: $2,400/wkAfter Tax: $1,800/wk (rough estimate)Pride Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto ,home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
