Capital Psychological Services, a thriving private practice in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a child/adolescent therapist to join as an associate. Fully licensed is ideal, though we are open to hiring someone who is still working toward licensure. At a minimum, you must be enrolled in a graduate program in psychology. For example, the director will work to support specialization in a certain age range or presenting issue (e.g., health psych focus, ADHD, parent-child relationships) Requirements of the position:· Must commit to at least two in-person afternoon/evenings per week (or Saturdays if that’s better for your schedule). Other sessions can be virtual if desired though your caseload will fill faster the more in-person you offer.· Qualified applicants should be highly professional, have a strong work ethic, enjoy clinical work, be able to work independently within the context of a group practice, be well trained in therapy, and have some experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (DBT or ACT background also welcome)· A minimum of 10 client hours per week, but there are opportunities for many additional hours and/or full-time.
