Job Overview:Rincon Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a medical clinic specializing in diagnosing and treating traumatic brain injuries (TBI’s) and musculoskeletal injuries. Our comprehensive team of practitioners work closely with each and every patient to create and implement a detailed, humanistic treatment plan that takes into account all aspects of a patient’s condition, both seen and unseen injuries, to reach one goal – improving that patient’s quality of life by helping them achieve functional independence.The Physician is a licensed health care professional who provides comprehensive diagnosis and direct treatment for patients living with brain injuries. With Rincon Rehab’s in-house extensive treatment options and network of providers, Physicians have the unique ability to seamlessly refer patients for necessary services without the need for prior authorizations. The ideal candidate operates with the highest ethical standards, making principled decisions that foster trust, integrity, and a positive workplace environment. With growth on the horizon, now is an exciting time to join our dynamic team!Key Responsibilities:Patient Care:Comprehensive diagnosis and direct treatment for patients living with brain injuriesConduct physical examinations and evaluate patients independentlyDevelop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing and/or administering treatments (No chronic opiate prescribing required)Monitor the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatments and medicationCollaboration:Supervision and collaboration with Physician Assistants (PAs), Certified Athletic Trainers (AT-Cs), and Medical Assistants (MAs)Refer patients to in-house specialists or other providers as neededIn cooperation with the Operations Team and CEO, oversee the ongoing process of continuous Quality Improvement in clinical operations, which may include discussions at provider meetings, interdisciplinary case conferencing, patient care protocol reviews, peer review, chart audits, etc.Assist with training and onboarding of new clinical staff membersParticipates in required meetingsDocumentation and Compliance:Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.Stay updated on medical laws, regulations, and best practices.Continuous Learning:Participate in continuing medical education (CME) to stay current with advancements in the field.Attend relevant training, workshops, and conferences.Qualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degreeBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Brain Injury Medicine, Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Emergency MedicineHolds a current and unrestricted Physician's and Surgeon's (P&S) license in California or is eligible to applyWilling to initiate application for Physician's and Surgeon's (P&S) license in Nevada within 90 days of employmentValid and unrestricted driver’s licenseAbility to travel 1-2 times per week to satellite locations including: Stockton, Fresno, San Jose, Reno, Las Vegas, Palmdale, and San Diego (1-3 overnight trips per month)Adept at evaluating and treating patients independentlyCompassionate and patient-centered approach to careStrong emotional intelligence demonstrating empathy and self-awarenessProficient in the use of current technologyBenefits:CME ReimbursementDEA License ReimbursementNV License ReimbursementMedical, Dental, and Vision Healthcare401k with company contributions11 Paid Holidays3 Weeks VacationRelocation assistanceWhat else makes this opportunity great?
