This role will focus on providing care to pediatric patients with a variety of medical and developmental needs. We welcome strong new graduates with pediatric rotation experience and candidates with expertise in developmental-focused therapy.General Purpose of Job:To provide Physical Therapy services to patients of the Driscoll Children’s Health System. To assist with coordination of specific departmental activities and/or services.Essential ResponsibilitiesAssess patient needs by selecting, administering, and interpreting appropriate evaluation tools.Educate patients and family members regarding evaluation findings and the plan of care.Develop functional, developmentally appropriate, time-sensitive, and measurable treatment goals.Provide evidence-based interventions for infants and children with conditions such as torticollis, clubfoot, cardiac and neuromuscular disorders.Conduct orthopedic assessments and provide orthotics/equipment recommendations as needed.Maintain compliance with clinical documentation and departmental standards.Instruct and verify understanding of home exercise programs with patients and caregivers.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers.Maintain billable productivity levels as required.Provide in-services within the department, hospital, and community.Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including family-friendly hours and potential floating between settings.Occasionally participate in community visits to support patient care needs.Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.Provide holiday/weekend on-call coverage as needed.Education and/or Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, orMaster’s degree in Physical Therapy, orDoctoral degree in Physical TherapyCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Current Texas Licensure as a Physical TherapistCurrent CPR certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)Compensation & BenefitsFor a detailed overview of our benefits, visit: salary with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Ongoing professional development opportunities.The chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.
