Nurse ManagerJob Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, the Nurse Manager is responsible for the management and direct supervision of patient care in the Acute Care (Med-Surg), Emergency Department, and Trauma Coordination. This role includes planning and supervising patient care, managing nursing and support personnel, and collaborating with staff, physicians, and nurse leaders to ensure quality care and compliance with policies. The Nurse Manager supports continuous performance improvement, participates in quality initiatives, assists with budget development, and manages clinical operations 24/7. This is a hands-on leadership role that also includes providing direct patient care as needed.Essential Job Functions:Oversee daily operations of Med-Surg Acute Care, Emergency Department, and Trauma Coordination.Maintain regular communication with the Director of Nursing to align departmental goals and ensure consistency in policy implementation.Support efficient use of resources to maximize productivity and control costs.Mentor and manage staff to support professional development and performance expectations.Ensure departmental compliance with applicable regulations and accrediting agencies.Maintain evidence-based departmental policies and procedures in alignment with current standards of practice.Education & Experience Requirements:Minimum Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) requiredLicensure/Certifications:Active Registered Nurse license (Washington State or multi-state compact)BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP certifications requiredExperience:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nurse ManagerLeadership or management experience in an acute care hospital settingPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree preferredProfessional Expectations:Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirementsDemonstrate professionalism and timely completion of workUphold organizational mission, ethics, and valuesCommunicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families, and staff
