A key aspect of this role is relationship building and between the Delano campus Operations team, The Wonderful Company Director of Hospitality and the company Nutritionist. This position is responsible for overseeing of food preparation, ensuring there is high quality, healthy food available for employees. The Food Service Manager will lead the organizing of food preparation, ordering food and drink supplies, maintaining equipment, adhering to health and safety precautions, making sure the kitchen and the dining areas are cleaned. This individual will ensure a safe, cost-effective, and compliant operation. Wonderful Citrus is strongly committed to health and wellness and the two restaurants locations will reflect this by serving quality breakfast, lunch and dinner to employees.Here’s what you’ll do:Develops training processes to ensure safety and sanitation practices, maintenance, and regulatory compliance for the entire restaurantActive engagement and ownership of human capital planning -- recruiting, hiring, developing and mentoring teamChampions continuous improvement activities to improve processes, quality and serviceFosters a safe and healthy work environment and provides a high level of safety awareness through continual communication, education and enforcement of safe work practicesDevelops, implements, and monitors annual goals and objectives for the food service organization supports the strategic and financial objectives of the companyProvides strategic vision and direction leveraging a hands-on approach in the creation of new menu options and food service items available to employeesCollaborating with other departments & functions to provide excellent restaurant and catering serviceQualificationsHere’s what you’ll bring to the table:Minimum of 5 years’ restaurant management experience requiredHospitality management or Bachelor’s degree highly preferredExperience leading in a company-owned food service preferredComputer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software requiredP&L experience with food, supplies, and labor costBackground in nutritional education highly desirableInitiate all purchase orders. Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventoryMonday – Friday work shift. Occasional weekends requiredPay Range: $85,000 -$110,000 and may include a discretionary bonus.
