JOB SUMMARY:Enhances patient care through the use of diagnostic ultrasonography in an effort to contribute to the diagnosis and treatment plan for all patients of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:CONDUCTDemonstrate and maintain ethical and professional conduct with patients, families, physicians, staff, and members of the general public.ADDRESSES AND RESPONDS TO CUSTOMER REQUESTSBy greeting customers, both internal and external, in person or on the telephone, answering and triaging inquiries, assisting patients with transportation inquiries and arrangements.DEMONSTRATES PRODUCTIVE TIME MANAGEMENTBy prioritizing, organizing and completing related job responsibilities within acceptable departmental timelines.Capable of multitasking and triaging work without sacrificing customer service.PROTECTS CUSTOMER AND ORGANIZATION INFORMATIONBy keeping information confidential, following Good Shepherd’s policy and procedures for release of information, maintaining secure medical records and maintaining security for the contents of the business office.Disposes all protected health care information in the appropriate PHI receptacles.CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORTBy assisting the department to achieve common goals, demonstrating willingness to provide service at other locations within GSRN as necessary and promoting a positive work environment.Provides backup support for the radiography and fluoroscopy programs at Good Shepherd.By proposing and investigating new operational methods to achieve positive end results.Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EducationGraduate from an accredited School of Radiology or School of Ultrasound requiredBoard certified and in good standing with the ARDMSWork Experience2+ years of experience as a staff technologist in ultrasound preferredLicenses / CertificationsRVT certification requiredARDMS certification requiredCurrent BLS required
