POSITION OVERVIEW:The primary role of the AV Commissioning Specialist is setting up and commissioning audio-visual equipment for enterprise customers. The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for leading, supporting, and interacting with all technicians, programmers, and customers.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Demonstrate job site leadership with all subcontractors, technicians, engineers, and programmersAbility to lead, perform, and direct installation for small to large scale projects, to include Emergency Operation Centers, and working along side GC’s for Construction projectsAct as a customer liaison in absence of Project ManagerProvide accurate, daily reports to the assigned project managerAnalyze and interpret system drawingsReview project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installationPerform hardware upgrades to all AV componentsRegistration and setting changes of VTC codec endpoints (Cisco, Poly, Logitech, etc.)Proficient with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Shure, Biamp, and QSC hardware componentsProficient with Crestron Toolbox, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, and Shure softwareKnowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLANs, and VPN.Write, configure, and adjust digital signal processors (DSP) including Biamp and QSCFine tune audio-video systems to ensure optimal performanceAbility to work with a remote system programmer to load and diagnose interfacesExtensive background in troubleshooting complex audio, video, and network related issuesKnowledge of Advanced signal flow for audio, video, and controlMinor programming capabilities (Crestron/QSC/Extron) - changes and troubleshootingCreate, track, and close a project punch-listComfortable and able to communicate with C-Level executivesAbility to train and educate customers on installed equipment and receive a final sign off from the customer showing job completionCompile and submit all project related deliverables including redlining CAD documentsSUCCESS FACTORS:Ability to Travel NationwideA high level of customer centricityStrong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team membersAbility to perform in a fast paced/high volume environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExceptional Critical Thinking skillsDetail Oriented- a high level of attention to detail is requiredA high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skillsSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goalsAbility to be organized, problem solve complex system problems, and be solution orientedProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing prioritiesAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesUnderstanding of network infrastructure and A/V system design requirementsUnderstanding of Audio/Visual project lifecycle from solicitation to final inspectionFamiliar with current version of BICSI and AVIXA best practicesWORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and drivingWhen working on site, could be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hatsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:5+ years’ experience in collaboration or Audio-Visual IntegrationHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredREQUIRED TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:AVIXA CTSDante Level IIBiamp TesiraQSC Level IICrestron Level IIExtron Certified AV AssociateOSHA 10POSSESS OR COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT:AVIXA CTS-IDante Level IIIAdvanced NetworkingPixel Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
