As a Quality Technician, your mission is to safeguard product integrity by conducting thorough inspections and real-time audits. You’ll be the final checkpoint ensuring our steel meets the highest performance and compliance standards. Success in this role means becoming the go-to resource for quality decisions, helping your team deliver with confidence and precision.Performance Objectives – What you’ll accomplish in your first 12 monthsPerform non-destructive testing (NDT) including ultrasonic and visual inspections to validate material quality and compliance with AWS welding codes and customer specifications.Audit, document, and maintain calibration standards across testing equipment to ensure continuous process integrity.Lead quality support on the shop floor by identifying issues, coordinating resolution efforts, and improving workflow efficiency.Report findings using ERP systems, generating clear, timely inspection reports aligned with production timelines.Complete UT Level 2 certification, or re-certification if applicable, within the first 6 months (if not already held).Maintain a safety-first work environment, contributing to team-wide accountability for clean, compliant workspaces.You’re a Fit If... – Leadership traits, mindset, and motivationsYou bring disciplined focus and thrive in roles where precision matters.You’re a self-led learner who takes ownership of your certifications and technical knowledge.You know how to build trust fast on the production floor by being both supportive and standards-driven.You’re motivated by hands-on problem solving and have a mission mindset for getting things done right the first time.RequirementsMust have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.5+ years in manufacturing or steel industry preferred.Knowledge of Visual and Ultrasonic Testing practices and equipment.Familiarity with AWS welding codes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Comfortable working rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.ERP system experience is a plus.BenefitsFull benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and profit sharing.Annual bonus structure based on performance.Tuition reimbursement and scholarships for employee families.Supportive environment for Guard/Reserve service obligations.
