OverviewWe are a key player in supplying fresh and frozen meat blends to customers globally. We have plant locations all over the US, including the Midwest and West Coast. We service customers in the food, pet, and pharmaceutical industries.Key ResponsibilitesPerforming preventative maintenance on production machines to ensure smooth operation, following diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting any malfunctions.Observing mechanical devices in operation to identify problems, listening for issues, and using measuring and testing instruments.Managing inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipts.Keeping all shop, engine rooms, and work areas clean, safe, and orderly.Completing all assigned work orders promptly.Assisting in updating the PSM & PM Programs.Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.Ensuring continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.Adhering to all safety guidelines and wearing required safety gear (PPE).Following attendance guidelines at the assigned work location.Keeping tools and equipment in good working order and in their proper place.Performing daily rounds.Reporting any hazards to management.Performing other duties as assigned.Must HaveA high school diploma/GED and vocational technical school education.1-3 years of experience or equivalent education and experience. Experience in welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia refrigeration, and some building maintenance is necessary. Authorization to work in the U.S. Nice To HaveExperience in the meat processing industry is preferredYou will be exposed to cool and wet conditions and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
