Sterilization Technician

Pride Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in West Bend, Wisconsin. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Responsibilities:Collect, sort, clean, disinfect, and inspect instruments, supplies, and durable medical equipmentInspect, assemble, wrap, and label surgical instruments and procedural trays for sterilization and storageOperate and monitor cleaning/sterilization equipmentMaintain and document use of sterilizing and disinfecting equipment in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standardsIdentify correct cleaning and sterilization methods for each itemPerform and document biological monitoring of all sterilizing equipmentFollow established protocol for any failed biological testEnsure aseptic techniques are used at all times in preparation and storageKeep the Sterile Processing Department clean, safe, and sanitaryDeliver processed supplies and equipment to designated departmentsAssist in the Endoscopy reprocessing department (if applicable)Participate in orientation and training of new employeesReport faulty equipment, safety concerns, and deficiencies to leadershipQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to read and write to comprehend equipment instructions and complete documentationBasic arithmetic and counting skills for instrument trackingBasic computer skillsStrong problem-solving and communication abilitiesAdditional Information:Location: West Bend, WisconsinJob Type: ContractSchedule: 4x10 NightsPay Range: $39.00/hour*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.Pride Health provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, company-paid life and long-term disability insurance, and optional supplemental life insurance for employees, spouses, and children.
