The Regional Director of Nursing provides clinical oversight and leadership to Directors of Nursing across multiple behavioral health facilities in Louisiana and Mississippi. The position requires extensive travel (75-90%), which will include overnight stays and may involve last-minute scheduling based on facility needs. The individual must be based in the Louisiana/Mississippi region.Core Responsibilities:Act as interim DON, or provide relief for DON when needed for short-term coverage Partner with facility DONs to support nursing operations, performance, staffing, and clinical oversightDrive nursing excellence through regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and trainingLead onboarding and support for new DONs; assist with facility and service line start-upsParticipate in quality, safety, and clinical leadership efforts across the regionKey Requirements:Active RN license in Louisiana (Mississippi license required within 3 months of hire)BSN or MSN preferredMinimum 3 years RN experience with at least 2 years in nursing leadershipAt least 1 year of inpatient behavioral health experienceStrong knowledge of The Joint Commission standards, nursing budgets, and complianceComfortable with high-paced, dynamic environments and last-minute travel needsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) Location:Must reside in the Louisiana/Mississippi region or near Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or surrounding areas.Why Join Us?At Oceans, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence in behavioral health care.
