Certified Surgical Technologist

Full-Time Surgical Technician opportunity in Gramercy Surgery Center with our Manhattan location.Preferred Experience in: Ambulatory surgery/OphthalmologySurgical Technician Duties:Under supervision of RN, initiates contact with patient.Verifies with a nurse that pre-operative checklist is complete.Conducts all preparation/sterilization/maintenance/stocking of OR rooms and supplies for pre, peri, and post surgery.Ensures proper positioning and preparation of patients.Scrub in surgery cases – assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.Responsible for the day-to-day assurance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and equipment.Assists in ensuring proper storage and handling of instruments and equipment.Assists in inspecting and ensuring proper condition of instruments and equipment.Assists in operating and ensuring maintenance of on-site sterilization of instruments and equipment.Surgical Technician Educational/Work Experience Requirements:-Fully Certified Surgical Technician-BLS required-ACLS a plus- 2 years ophthalmology clinical experience a plus
