Job Title: Hospital-Based Pathologist (AP/CP Board Certified)Location: Bakersfield, CaliforniaPosition Type: Full-TimeJob Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP) to join our hospital-based pathology practice in Bakersfield, California. The ideal candidate will provide diagnostic services in both anatomic and clinical pathology, contribute to multidisciplinary clinical teams, and support the highest standards of patient care within a busy community hospital setting.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive pathology services, including surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical laboratory oversight.Collaborate closely with clinical teams to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information.Participate in tumor boards, quality assurance activities, and laboratory management.Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.Serve as a medical liaison between the pathology department and other departments, as needed.Qualifications:Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) by the American Board of Pathology.Eligible for or hold an active California medical license.Strong diagnostic skills in general surgical pathology and cytopathology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working with or in a commercial laboratory environment.Subspecialty training or experience in a high-volume pathology setting is a plus.Familiarity with laboratory accreditation standards (e.g., CAP, CLIA).Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and retirement plans.CME and professional development support.Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.About the Location:Bakersfield, located in California’s Central Valley, offers affordable living, a family-friendly environment, and convenient access to major metropolitan areas and outdoor recreation.To Apply:Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your qualifications and interest in the position.
