Job Title: Nurse Manager – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)Shift Details: Monday to Friday | Day Shift | Must be flexibleDuration: Direct HirePay Rate/Salary: $93,693.60 – $117,093.60 per yearSign-On/Relocation: Discussed during interviewJob Description:The Nurse Manager – NICU is responsible for leading the clinical and operational functions of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This leader ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care by a well-trained and competent team in a Level 4 NICU environment.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily NICU operations and staff, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and regulatory guidelinesLead a team of 6 Clinical Supervisors and 1 Educator, providing direction, coaching, and performance evaluationPromote interdisciplinary collaboration and high-quality outcomes through a Professional Practice modelProvide clinical care as needed and act as charge nurse during critical patient care situationsLead recruitment, orientation, and retention of nursing staffParticipate in budgeting, resource allocation, and performance improvement activitiesAssist in policy development and ensure a culture of safety and continuous educationSkills & Requirements:Minimum 2 years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in NICUPrior Nurse Manager experience required (Charge Nurse or similar titles not sufficient)Strong critical thinking and team leadership capabilitiesExperience in Level 4 NICU environments preferredMust be comfortable delivering both clinical care and administrative leadershipPhysical & Communication Requirements:Ability to lift and support 35 lbsStrong verbal and written English communicationMust be able to respond quickly to patient/unit needsStanding, walking, bending, and use of medical equipment requiredEducation:Required: Graduate of an accredited School of NursingRequired: BSNPreferred: MSN or enrollment in an MSN program within 1 year of hire and completion within 5 yearsAlternate Path: If undergraduate degree is BSN, a Master's Degree in a health-related program or MBA is acceptableCertifications:Required: Active RN license in North CarolinaRequired: BLS certificationRequired: Professional certification (clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility
