The clinician ensures coordination of care and flexibility of services. The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for ensuring that: clients have a mental health assessment; are receiving appropriate mental health treatment services; services are documented; reports are completed timely based on agency policy; and documentation and recordkeeping requirements are met.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSMaster’s degree or Doctorate as defined in the Health and Safety Code, Sections 1506 (e) (f)LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSActive, unrestricted registration/ licensure through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.Meets all compliance requirements of federal, state, and country regulations by periodic sanction checks.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Provide Comprehensive Clinical Services Deliver individual, family, and group therapy in both home-based and office settings. Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, provide diagnoses, and ensure timely, accurate documentation in compliance with Medi-Cal and agency standards. · Engage in Clinical Supervision and Team Collaboration Participate in ongoing supervision with the Clinical Director and engage in case consultations and collaborative treatment planning with the clinical team. Maintain open, professional communication with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment. · Maintain Compliance and Ethical Standards Stay informed of and comply with all relevant laws, professional codes of ethics, and state licensing requirements. Maintain current registration or licensure status and complete all necessary certifications. · Support Data, Documentation, and Billing Requirements Complete outcome measures, progress notes, reports, and assessments with accuracy and timeliness. Participate in data collection efforts and perform billing-related tasks, including unit tracking, and insurance documentation. · Participate in Agency and Community Engagement Attend staff meetings, trainings, and community events. Represent the agency at conferences, workshops, and networking activities. Engage in outreach, marketing, and partnership-building initiatives to support program growth and client engagement. · Demonstrate Flexibility and Crisis Readiness Maintain the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Provide on-call crisis intervention services in accordance with agency policy. Respond to client needs and communications within 24 business hours. · Foster Positive Relationships and Client-Centered Care Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and community partners. Promote cultural sensitivity, uphold confidentiality, and ensure professional boundaries at all times. · Contribute to Program Development and Continuous Improvement Participate in agency action planning, quality improvement efforts, training initiatives, and performance evaluations. Provide feedback and ideas to enhance service delivery and support the overall mission of Kamali’i Counseling Center. · Perform Additional Duties as Assigned Take on responsibilities as needed to support the clinical team and overall functioning of the agency, under the direction of the Clinical Director or Supervisor.
