Healthcare Leadership Solutions, the premier executive recruiting firm specializing in accounting, finance, and documentation leadership in healthcare, is partnering with a respected and financially stable Florida health system to identify their next Vice President of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI).This is a high-impact, executive leadership role reporting to the Associate Chief Medical Officer and SVP of Finance Operations. The VP will guide the strategy and performance of CDI initiatives across hospitals and physician practices, driving quality metrics, physician engagement, and documentation accuracy.This strategic executive will oversee:A systemwide CDI program encompassing hospitals and physician groups.Alignment of documentation with metrics like expected mortality, SOI/ROM, O/E mortality, and CMI.The entire CDI team, including CDISs, Managers, and the CDI Director, with a focus on engagement, transformation, and results.Collaboration with quality, case management, physician leaders, and outside consulting partners.Strategy, training, and continuous improvement around documentation, coding compliance, and quality metrics.Physician education and accountability related to clinical documentation integrity.Evaluation and coaching of internal leaders, policy development, and cross-department alignment.Implementation of process and technology enhancements to drive CDI outcomes.Ideal Candidate Profile:10+ years of experience in an acute care hospital systemRN or MD experience preferred and Vizient exposure is a plusMinimum 5 years of CDI leadership experience, ideally overseeing large or multi-site teamsStrong understanding of MS-DRG, ICD-10, and clinical documentation processesProven success in engaging physicians and leading enterprise-wide initiativesExcellent interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and change management skillsMBA or MHA strongly preferredCompensation Package:Competitive base salary in the $200K–$240K range, plus Bonus / relocation assistance to Florida.
