Atlantic Medical Imaging (AMI) is seeking a Physician Extender/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join the Vascular Institute. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and dynamic clinical team.AMI is one of the largest independently owned and operated outpatient radiology practices in New Jersey, with 30 office locations and over 900 employees serving communities throughout Southern & Central NJ. The Vascular Institute includes 10 site locations, with 20 dedicated providers, and clinical & administrative staff members. To learn more about the AMI Vascular Institute, visit New Jersey Endovascular Specialists | The Vascular Institute at AMIAMI offers a generous compensation package including medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, Paid Time Off (PTO), Holidays, 401k and profit sharing along with the opportunity to work in an exciting and progressive outpatient practice. The Physician Extender/APP serves as a clinical expert, providing direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and plan of care as they relate to interventional oncologic, urologic, arterial and venous disorders.The responsibilities of the Physician Extender/APP include, but are not limited to:Conducts comprehensive new patient evaluations, including obtaining detailed histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests (labs, imaging), and coordinating multidisciplinary care plans as appropriate.Manages ongoing outpatient care for patients with vascular and interventional conditions, including:Post-procedure follow-up to monitor recovery and outcomesDisease surveillance follow-up to monitor conditions, ensuring early detection of progression and timely intervention if neededPreventive care evaluations for at-risk populations, reinforcing conservative management where appropriatePerforms and documents clinical workups for patients referred for possible interventional procedures; coordinates diagnostic testing and specialist referrals; determines appropriateness for intervention vs. conservative management.Reviews diagnostic data (ultrasound, CT, MRI, vascular studies) and engages patients in shared decision-making based on findings.Provides pre-procedure education and consent discussions when procedures are indicated.Provides post-procedural care, including clinical assessments, wound checks, medication management, and patient education to ensure safe recovery.Performs minor image-guided and bedside procedures within scope of practice, including but not limited to:PICC line placementMidline catheter placementParacentesisDemonstrates willingness and ability to train for additional minor procedures within licensure scope (e.g., thyroid or lymph node FNA biopsies, ultrasound-guided drain placements).Collaborates with referring physicians and specialists, providing timely clinical updates, coordinating care transitions, and reinforcing AMI’s role as a partner in vascular and interventional care.Maintains meticulous, real-time documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality initiatives.Participates in patient discharge preparation, including providing comprehensive discharge instructions, prescriptions, follow-up planning, and patient/family education to optimize outcomes.Assists with inpatient consultations and follow-up for affiliated hospital systems on an as-needed basis, supporting continuity of care between outpatient and inpatient services.Manages patient messages in a timely manner, including responding to clinical questions, reviewing imaging and lab results, coordinating follow-up care, addressing post-procedure concerns, and escalating to the supervising physician when appropriate.Participates in peer to peer discussions regarding insurance approval of certain interventional oncologic procedures.Provides the highest level of customer service to promote patient satisfaction.Prescribes medications while adhering to AMI policies for medication administration as necessary.Promotes the AMI interventional program to referring physicians and community members and attend certain meetings, tumors boards, marketing and educational events.Travels to other offices as necessary for patient evaluations and procedures.Participates in educational classes, safety training, seminars, staff meetings and on-the-job training programs.Maintains HIPAA rules and regulations as it applies to patient privacy. Maintains confidentiality of all information and records, including patient, employment and RRC proprietary information.Interacts with referring physicians' offices, patients and other potential clients to develop the interventional practice and vein/vascular program, as follows: assists with the development of patient education materials, distributes marketing brochures, promotes growth of the practice and referral sources, represents AMI and the IR program to the community in a positive manner, acts as liaison between AMI, the patient and referring physician to ensure open communication and problem solving objectives.Performs other related duties within the organization as necessary or as assigned by a radiologist, medical director or designee.This position is based in the Vineland Vascular Institute (Sherman Avenue), with coverage assigned as needed in the Somerdale & Sicklerville Vascular Institutes. This is a salaried position with a schedule of Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. Schedules may change as needed based on business & department needs.Eligible and qualified candidates have graduated from an accredited APN or PA-C program, with current & valid licensing and credentialing as an APN or PA-C; NJ licensing must be in place or candidates must have a willingness to pursue NJ licensing. Candidates must be eligible for state and federally controlled substance registration. Candidates must have current and valid American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications.  Previous employment or clinical experience in vascular surgery, general surgery, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, hematology, or oncology is strong preferred. A willingness to learn and ability to perform procedures is required for success in this role. Experience with EMR and the ability & willingness to learn new clinical platforms is required.  Based on the requirement of travel between offices, candidates must have a current & unrestricted driver's license with reliable transportation.Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the patient experience. Exceptional interpersonal and communication, verbal & written, skills are required, and are pertinent to successful relationship building with patients, fellow providers, AMI team members, referring offices, and the community.  EOE
