Director, Investment Accounting Policy & Reporting

ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client that is seeking a Director, Investment Accounting Policy and Reporting in the Saint Louis, Missouri (MO) area. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the creation and implementation of accounting policies related to investments, ensuring adherence to national and international accounting standards (GAAP and IFRS) Manage the preparation and review of financial reports concerning investment activities Work closely with other departments, finance, compliance, and risk management Analyze investment performance data and prepare reports to provide insight to leadership Ensure all regulatory compliance practices comply with industry standards Identify and assess risks related to investment accounting and reporting Train accounting team to ensure they are knowledgeable about current policies and practices in investment accounting Communicate complex investment accounting topics to senior management and external auditorsRequirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration or equivalent related work experience; Master's degree is preferred Professional certification (CPA) is preferred 10+ years of insurance accounting, auditing, or Investment Accounting experience Technical proficiency in financial software and tools such as ERP systems, SQL/Query skills and investment management platforms Computer software, MS Word, and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem-solving skills and attention to detail Time management skills - ability to deliver projects on time and accurate Fostering an environment of professional team members and the ability to resolve conflicts within the departmentThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
