Physician (California) – Telehealth Mental Health for Healthcare ProfessionalsLocation: Remote (Telehealth – California)Position Type: (4-8 hrs/wk) | Remote | ContractPosition OverviewTend Health is seeking a licensed physician (MD/DO) Licensed in California to provide assessments and medication management via telehealth. This role involves working collaboratively with psychologists who provide psychotherapy to shared clients, primarily healthcare professionals, including medical residents and fellows. The ideal candidate is looking to expand their clinical practice in a concierge-style telehealth model within an innovative and growing startup.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct brief and ongoing assessments and medication managementProvide seamless support through secure video sessions, phone, and messaging platformsTailor services to meet client needs with flexible schedulingEngage in case discussions and collaborate with psychologists and other health providersRefer clients to additional services as neededQualificationsEducation: MD/DO in Psychiatry, Family Medicine or relevant specialty, licensed to practice in California. (active, valid and unrestricted license)Experience: 5+ years of clinical experience in mental health careExperience in medical settings, integrated care teams, or health professions training programs preferredLicensure: Must hold an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of California along with active DEA Certification: Board-certified in Psychiatry or a related field preferred but not required.Passion for providing one-on-one consultation and medication managementAvailability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekendsSkills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of telehealth regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and other digital tools.Experience working in medical settings, on integrated teams in health professions training programs preferred.
