Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Location: Wake County Public School System (WCPSS), North Carolina Pay Rate: $35/hour Travel Reimbursement: Available for qualifying candidates Benefits: Eligible 30 days after assignment begins (includes health, dental/vision, 401(k) with 3% employer match, disability, critical illness/injury coverage, free life insurance up to $25,000, pet insurance)Job Description:Cell Staff is seeking, on behalf of Wake County Schools, a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join the team supporting the communication development of high school students. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will help implement individualized speech and language services designed to support student success in academic and social settings.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct therapy services as specified in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under licensed SLP supervision.Prepare therapy materials and assist with data collection during sessions.Document student progress and maintain accurate records per district and state guidelines.Assist with speech/language screenings and informal assessments.Support generalization of communication strategies across school environments.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' communication needs.Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and HIPAA regulations.Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.Follow all Wake County Public Schools policies and procedures.Qualifications:Must be eligible for permanent registration with the North Carolina Board of Examiners (NC BOE) for SLP-Assistants.
