Environmental Worker(Hospital Operating Room (OR) cleaning experience is required)Contract: 13 weeks (extension and perm possibility)Shift: 11:00 pm-7:30 am shift, 40 hrs. weekMon-Fri every other weekend and Holiday as needed. Client has a network of private, non-profit hospitals providing health care services to all of the U.S. state of Delaware and portions of seven counties bordering the state in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.Job Summary:The Hospital Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across patient, office, and ancillary areas of the hospital.Roles:Ensure a clean, sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Maintain cleanliness of patient, office, and ancillary areas.Keep carts and equipment clean, orderly, and safe; remove empty boxes.Maintain Environmental Services closets in an orderly condition.Replenish paper and soap supplies hospital-wide.Clean and disinfect precaution rooms per infection control procedures.Collect trash in assigned areas and prepare for bulk pick-up.Respond promptly to Environmental Services calls/texts; use required apps.Attend departmental training sessions.Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.Maintain a positive, productive attitude.Remove trash, soiled linens, and biohazard materials to designated areas.Dispose of needle/glove boxes and soiled equipment appropriately.Follow safety protocols and report hazards promptly.Engage professionally with employees, patients, and visitors.Requirements:High School Diploma or GED (Required)Minimum of 2 years cleaning experiencePrior experience in a medical or healthcare environment (Preferred)Hospital Operating Room (OR) cleaning experience is requiredAbility to follow safety and infection control protocols
