Medical Assistant

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant located in Evergreen Park, IL. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as preparing patients for examinations, taking medical histories, and recording vital signs. The role also includes assisting healthcare providers during examinations, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, and managing medical records. This role will act as a transitionary role to becoming a Clinical Research Coordinator after extended exposure to role. QualificationsMedical TerminologyHandle Scheduling for the Clinical Research CoordinatorAct as a back-up for a Clinical Research Coordinator Experience in Medical Office operations and Medical Records managementSkilled in Patient CareExcellent communication and organizational skillsAttention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretionAbility to work effectively as part of a healthcare teamCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in medical assisting or related field is a plus.
