Akkodis is seeking a PSC Registration Representative for a contract job with a client in (10001 New York, New York, United States. Job Title: PSC Registration RepresentativeLocation: New York, NYPay Rate: $17–$18/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Must have** Spanish Summary:As a PSC Registration Representative, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of front office duties within the Patient Service Center (PSC). Your tasks will include customer service, data entry, insurance billing and payments, problem resolution, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and ordering office supplies. You may be required to support multiple locations as needed.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Greet customers professionally and courteously.Assist patients with kiosk sign-in, ensuring accurate entry of information.Contact clients to obtain patient orders.Handle customer inquiries and concerns promptly.Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, including the Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual.Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, preparing mail, and basic data entry.Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold the values of Quest Diagnostics.Adhere to all departmental and company policies and report to work on time by attendance guidelines.Answer telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner, including the company name, self-introduction, and a helpful statement.Follow established protocols for reporting customer complaints.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and utilize test translation tables.Complete all required training.Assist with the stocking of office supplies.Perform other duties as needed to meet customer requirements.Complete special projects as requested by the supervisor or manager.Qualifications:Required Work Experience:Minimum of one year of customer service experience.Preferred Work Experience:Experience with keyboard/data entry and personal computers.Physical and Mental Requirements:Prolonged standing and sitting.Ability to lift to 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds for several minutes at a time.Talking, vision, and constant mental visual attention to detail.Frequent walking, balancing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting.Knowledge and Skills:Medical terminology is helpful but not required.Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.Strong communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively with customers and peers.Demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise independent and sound judgment.Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
