Job Title: FDOT SuperintendentJob Location: Jacksonville, FLSalary: $100k-125kRequirements: 3+ years of highway and roadway construction experience (FDOT), concrete and asphalt construction experience as well.Position OverviewThe FDOT Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects related to roadways and highways, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge in construction practices, and effective communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise all aspects of roadway and highway construction projects.Ensure compliance with FDOT regulations and safety standards during all phases of construction.Oversee the grading, paving, and execution of concrete and asphalt works.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and budgets.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and project schedules.Assist in the training and development of construction staff to enhance skills and performance.QualificationsProven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of FDOT standards and construction practices.Strong understanding of roadway, highway, concrete, asphalt, and grading work.Experience with underground utilities and heavy earthwork operations is preferred.BenefitsMedical VisionDental401(K)BonusAnd More!
