Heavy Civil EstimatorPosition OverviewThe Heavy Civil Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with heavy civil construction projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing bids, and collaborating with project management teams to ensure project feasibility and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects including earthwork, concrete, and asphalt works.Conduct quantity takeoffs and analyze construction documents to determine project requirements.Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and risk assessments.Perform site assessments to gather information for accurate estimating.Utilize estimating software to create and manage estimates efficiently.Engage in contract negotiation and value engineering to optimize project costs.Ensure compliance with civil engineering principles and industry standards during the estimating process.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience as an estimator in heavy civil construction projects.Strong knowledge of cost analysis, project management, and bid preparation.Familiarity with construction documents and scheduling.Experience with risk assessment and site assessments.Proficiency in estimating software and tools.Excellent negotiation skills and ability to engage in value engineering.Email Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
