We are a family-owned Louisiana heavy/highway contractor specializing in concrete paving, site-work, concrete barrier installation and sewer, water, and drainage projectsChief EstimatorPosition OverviewThe Chief Estimator is responsible for overseeing the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in bid preparation. The role involves leading a team of estimators, coordinating with project management, and developing comprehensive cost estimates for civil, industrial, and heavy highway projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the estimation team to ensure high-quality and timely bids.Review and analyze project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimation.Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, P6, and HCSS for effective estimation processes.Develop and maintain cost databases and estimation templates for various project types.Conduct risk analysis and provide insights on potential project challenges.Present and justify estimates to internal and external stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimation with a focus on civil and heavy highway projects.Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably in a leadership role.Strong proficiency in estimation software including AutoCAD, P6, and HCSS.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.BenefitsHealthcare401k (match)BonusGas CardVehicle AllowancePTOPaid HolidaysEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
