Job Title: Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery (Sports Medicine)Location: Orthopedic Specialists of Oakland County (Multiple Locations)Job Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday–Friday, with on-call responsibilities Compensation: Starting at $100,000+, based on experiencePosition Overview:Orthopedic Specialists of Oakland County is seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to support a highly reputable, high-volume sports medicine and joint preservation orthopedic surgeon. This is a dynamic role that includes surgical first-assist, independent clinic responsibilities, inpatient rounding, and hospital consults. The position offers exposure to a wide range of complex orthopedic cases, with a focus on sports-related injuries and advanced joint preservation techniques. It’s an excellent opportunity for a PA looking to grow their career in a fast-paced, team-oriented practice with a diverse patient population.Key Responsibilities:First-assist in the OR for a wide range of sports medicine and orthopedic proceduresIndependently evaluate and manage patients in clinicTake detailed patient histories and perform focused orthopedic physical examsDocument visits, procedures, and treatment plans accurately within the EMRConduct inpatient rounding and hospital consults, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic testsPerform in-office orthopedic procedures such as joint injections, x-ray reviews, and post-op careCollaborate closely with the supervising physician and interdisciplinary care teamProvide coverage and support during the physician’s call shiftsQualifications:Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programCurrent Michigan PA license, DEA, and BLS certification1-2 years orthopedic surgery experience preferred, particularly in sports medicine; however, we are open to training highly motivated new graduatesStrong clinical judgment and the ability to manage patients independentlyExcellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsProficiency with EMR systems (1+ year preferred)Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary ($100,000+ depending on experience)401(k) with employer matchingMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insurancePaid time off (PTO) and 7 paid holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesWork Environment:Fast-paced, team-oriented practice with multiple clinic and hospital locationsIn-person clinical care; no remote work optionJoin Our Team:If you’re passionate about orthopedics and want to be part of a thriving sports medicine practice with room to grow, we encourage you to apply.To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to kkrych@
