Job DescriptionEQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MECHANIC II in Camarillo, CACuria provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.The Equipment Maintenance Mechanic II supports all aspects of the manufacturing and facility maintenance efforts at Curia. The maintenance department provides the capacity to manufacture pharmaceuticals in an efficient, timely, and safe manner, thereby contributing to the profitability of the company by maintaining or modifying all utility, facility, and production equipment and systems. The Equipment Maintenance Mechanic II installs, repairs and/or maintains machinery and mechanical equipment and production machines and equipment. ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and routine maintenance on manufacturing equipmentWork as an independent mechanic for all machinery repair efforts on the shift assigned under the direction of the shift supervisor and with appreciable direction from the senior mechanic and within the guidance establishedAssure that facility engineering drawings and associated documentation (including work orders and ECOs) are effectively and compliantly updated and maintainedPerform preventive and routine maintenance procedures on various type of production machineryDocument all activities for work performed in the required mannerParticipate in enhancements and expansions to current facility, including all aspects of new equipment set-up and installationsFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Follow guidelines for working in Clean RoomsUnderstand and assist in implementing safety procedures and cGMPsRepair tooling, electrical equipment and machinery including the creation of tooling, fabrication and repair of parts as neededRequiredQualifications High school education or equivalent with some technical courses, preferably in mechanical, industrial or commercial equipment repairMinimum 1-2 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environmentPreferredAssociate’s degree from 2-year college or technical schoolKnowledge of manufacturing, spreadsheet and word processing softwareComputer literate with working knowledge of MS-Word/Excel and maintenance management databasesPrefer skill in working in aseptic pharmaceutical environmentsPrefer knowledge of cGMP and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, FDA, JP, EU, etc.) requirementsPay Range$26.44 - $31.45/hr.Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.We do not accept unsolicited assistance from any headhunters or recruitment firms for any of our job openings.
