Accounting ManagerOconomowoc, WI | Mid-Sized ManufacturerJob DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at a mid-sized manufacturing company located in Waukesha, WI. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, managing a team of accountants, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.Manage and supervise three direct reports, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial information is accurate and reliable.Coordinate and assist with the annual budget process and financial forecasting.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by staying updated on existing and new legislation and advising management on necessary actions.Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.Provide support to management on financial matters, special projects, and ad-hoc reporting.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity role.Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines.BenefitsCompetitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.Retirement savings plan with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development opportunities and support for continuing education.
