If youí¢€™ve got diesel experience and want steady hours, great benefits, and a strong local team í¢€” this is the job for you.Safety Sensitive Position: Yes🛠 What Youí¢€™ll Do:Repairs include but are not limited to,í‚ routine maintenanceí‚ and repairing engines chassis and body components,í‚ hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels and tires.Inspects equipment and/or trucks for condition,í‚ operations, parts and fluid levels, differentials, final drives, pump drives, andí‚ hubs.Knowledge ofí‚ hydraulicsí‚ repair is required.Utilizes vehicle computerí‚ electronicsí‚ systems to interpretí‚ failure modesí‚ to initiate or assign repairs.Conductsí‚ safetyí‚ checks on vehicles and equipment.Completes required paperwork utilizingí‚ fleet maintenanceí‚ software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driverí‚ Vehicle Inspectioní‚ Reports.Performsí‚ maintenanceí‚ related work as required.Maintains a clean, safe work area iní‚ complianceí‚ with corporate and OSHA standards.Performs requiredí‚ safetyí‚ protocols while working on vehicles.Ability to effectively communicateí‚ needed repairs or tasks.Extensiveí‚ physicalí‚ activity. Requires strenuousí‚ physicalí‚ work;í‚ heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools.
