As we expand into the Detroit region, we're looking for a mission-driven leader to establish and grow our care operations from the ground up.Role SummaryAs Director of Nursing and Care Management, you’ll be the cornerstone of our Detroit launch. You’ll start as a player-coach: delivering direct care while laying the groundwork for operations, systems, and team development. Over time, you’ll evolve into a full leadership role — overseeing clinical operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring gold-standard care for every client.You won’t be building alone. You’ll partner closely with the WellSpring Home Office, with strategic and operational support every step of the way.The Details: Key Responsibilities Client Care & Clinical LeadershipServe as the lead care manager during the early growth phaseConduct client intakes, comprehensive assessments, and ongoing care planningTransition into a leadership role focused on clinical oversight and assessments as staff is hiredEnsure high standards of care, communication, and documentation are maintainedTeam Building & Staff ManagementRecruit, hire, onboard, and support Care ManagersProvide coaching, supervision, and performance managementFoster a collaborative, accountable, mission-driven team cultureOperational ImplementationLaunch and manage clinical and administrative systems using the WellSpring PlaybookOversee scheduling, workflows, and reporting until support roles are addedSupport financial performance goals, including healthy margin targets and service growthEarly-Stage Business Development (first 12–24 months)Support local business development efforts to help launch and grow the new market. Initial outreach will focus on partnership-based referrals, particularly through WellSpring’s established partnersConduct initial outreach to referral sources: home care, senior living, hospitals, physicians, etcRepresent WellSpring in the community through networking and partnership buildingTrack referral activity and help build the foundation for future business development effortsA dedicated Business Development Specialist will be hired after launch.Who You Are:A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 5 years of clinical experience in home care, hospice, case management, or related field.A strong people leader who enjoys hiring, mentoring, and team buildingHighly organized and process-oriented, with a knack for systems thinkingEnergized by growth and autonomy — and comfortable building in a start-up environmentExperienced or interested in business development and stakeholder engagement (a plus)What we offer:Very competitive salary with annual bonusHealth, dental, vision, and 401(k) with matchA mission-driven culture with collaboration and heart at its coreThe opportunity to lead, grow, and make a lasting impactIf you’re interested in learning more, reach out to Raisa Koltun at Raisa@ with your resume.
