Role: Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst – Pharmacy CommunicationsLocation: RemoteClient: CareFirst BCBSType: Contract to HireJob Summary:We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst to ensure all pharmacy-related, member-facing communications comply with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CMS, URAC, and other regulatory standards, and will be skilled at content review, compliance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.This role is key to maintaining regulatory alignment, mitigating risk, and supporting legal and compliance initiatives across pharmacy communications.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and interpret federal and state regulations (CMS, URAC, state mandates) affecting pharmacy communications.Review, validate, and approve pharmacy-related content for compliance, clarity, and accuracy.Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Business Units to align communication strategies with regulatory requirements.Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies (e.g., MIA, VBOI, DISB) and support internal investigations and audits.Maintain thorough documentation, including version control and audit records.Analyze internal systems and processes to identify regulatory risks and recommend corrective actions.Support litigation and legal processes by preparing and summarizing documentation.Provide research and analysis for special regulatory or compliance-related projects.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, pharmacy communications, or a related healthcare field.Strong knowledge of CMS, URAC, and state healthcare/pharmacy regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to audit content for regulatory accuracy and consistency.Experience working with legal and compliance teams in a healthcare environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.Preferred Skills:Experience responding to regulatory agencies or supporting audits/litigation.Familiarity with pharmacy benefit communications and content standards.Ability to interpret insurance laws and healthcare-related legislation.
