Our ideal applicant will be a cooperative team player who is driven, has a solid work ethic, and wants to be a member of a seasoned construction crew.Key ResponsibilitiesIn order to fulfill schedule and contracted scope, this role will continuously collaborate with field superintendents and project managers to identify initial and ongoing labor staffing needs. Plan for and locate qualified and available internal labor (current employees), choose the best time for transfers, and let HR know. Plan for and identify continuing external (new hire) labor requirements, then work with HR to resource and fill positions in accordance with project timelines. Serve as the first point of contact in the field for determining means and methods, and organize or ask the engineering team and other resources for help in defining the equipment, means, and methods that will be used on the project. To guarantee appropriate coordination and equipment delivery to locations, work together with the General Superintendent, Equipment, Means and Methods, or other Equipment Division managers. Completely responsible for the duties given to the site superintendentPlan for and execute weekly field meetings to update field staff on current projects, bids, staffing, and equipment movesQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred or 5 years minimum proven experience.At least 5 of progressively responsible experience in civil construction, including estimating, project management, equipment, scheduling, cost control and personnel administration.Heavy civil project experience.
