Commercial Lines Account Manager

The Leavitt Group’s affiliate, Leavitt Group Texas Select in Sugarland, TX, is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager. The professional hired will be primarily responsible for assisting in managing an existing book of small to mid-size construction accounts.Qualified candidates should demonstrate a solid track record in insurance and have strong interpersonal communication skills, strong attention to detail and excellent organizational time management skills.You must be capable of managing and retaining a large book of commercial business accounts.RequirementsJob Requirements include but are not limited to:Agency experience in commercial lines insurance and working with construction accounts.Advanced communication skillsA thorough knowledge of relationship development and insurance products available through the agency. Strong and highly competent knowledge of insuranceCapable of retaining assigned book of commercial lines businessCollect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history.Conduct client and prospect appointments communicating proposals and renewals, explaining details and communicating desire to conduct business.Stay informed of all claims or service issues and become involved in resolution when required.Participate in renewals by reviewing expiration listing with service person to determine appropriate action and collection of information to prepare renewal submissions.Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products, etc.Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management.QualificationsProperty & casualty license in the StateCISR or CIC designation preferred3 or more years in commercial lines insuranceStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office)Knowledge of Agency software--AMS 360 preferredBenefitsA competitive salary ranging from $50,000-$90,000 DOEAttractive health benefits plan that includes a 401 K with company matching.A wellness program that allows you to earn dollars toward your HSA accountVision, dental, HSA/FSA & life insurancePaid time off (vacation & sick time)As a national company, the Leavitt Group is one of the largest privately-held insurance agency brokerage in the nation, with over 275 locations across 27 states.
