This role will be responsible for but not limited to overseeing the meticulous preparation and compounding of sterile intravenous medications, demanding an unwavering commitment to established protocols and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational abilities, possess a profound understanding of aseptic techniques, and uphold the highest quality and safety standards throughout the medication compounding process.? Sign-On Bonus: $500!New hires are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus, paid in two parts:$250 after 30 days of employment$250 after 90 days of employmentKey ResponsibilitiesSkillfully prepare and compound sterile intravenous medications within a cleanroom environment, scrupulously following aseptic techniques to ensure maximum safety and efficacy.Rigorously adhere to pharmacy protocols and state regulations, ensuring precision and compliance in all compounding activities to meet both legal and ethical standards.Conduct comprehensive quality control checks on all compounded products, which include meticulous visual inspections and verification of all ingredients prior to preparation, ensuring the utmost quality for patient care.Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all compounding activities, abiding by established standards to ensure transparency and compliance.Assist with inventory management by efficiently ordering, stocking, and diligently monitoring pharmaceutical supplies and critical components utilized in the sterile compounding area to ensure seamless operations.Engage in the training and oversight of junior staff in aseptic techniques and best compounding practices, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the consistent cleaning and maintenance of compounding equipment and work areas to promote a safe working environment.Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, aiming to optimize patient care and promote the highest standards of medication safety.Required QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program is strongly preferred.A valid pharmacy technician certification from PTCB, along with IV Certification, is MANDATORY.A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sterile compounding is required to ensure familiarity with the intricacies of the role.A comprehensive understanding of USP guidelines (USP , , ) and other pertinent regulatory standards is essential for regulatory compliance.Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical to maintaining high standards of quality.Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to foster collaboration within the team and across departments.Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adeptly managing multiple tasks simultaneously, balancing speed with precision.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a 503B pharmacy work setting.If you're interested in joining a dynamic team and making an impact, we encourage you to apply today and tke the next step in your career!
