Fire Sprinkler Design DirectorPosition OverviewThe Fire Sprinkler Design Director is responsible for leading the design and engineering of fire sprinkler systems for a variety of projects. This role involves overseeing a team of designers and engineers, ensuring compliance with national standards and regulations while delivering high-quality designs that meet client needs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the fire sprinkler design team, providing direction and guidance on projects.Develop and review detailed fire sprinkler system designs using industry-standard software.Ensure all designs comply with NFPA codes and local regulations.Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to meet project timelines and objectives.Conduct hydraulic calculations and system analysis to ensure optimal performance of fire sprinkler systems.Review and approve design documentation, including drawings and specifications.Mentor junior designers and engineers, fostering professional growth and development within the team.Participate in project meetings and presentations to clients and stakeholders.Travel to other company branches to meet with their design teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in fire sprinkler design, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, particularly NFPA 13 and NFPA 20.Proficiency in design software such as HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, AutoSPRINK, and Revit.NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology is preferred.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Ability to travel to other company branches, as neededStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.Benefits$110k-$140k Annual Base Salary (DOE)Medical, Dental, Vision InsuranceFSA & HSA PlansLife and Accident InsuranceDisability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramVacation and Sick Time offHolidays OffRelocation assistance, as needed401k with match & moreMore Fire Sprinkler & Fire Alarm roles are available in over 30 states for Designers, Project Managers, Foremen, Superintendents, Technicians, Inspectors, Estimators, Sales Reps and Design Managers.
