Job Title: Financial Auditor (Healthcare)Location: Remote (Local to Austin, TX Preferred)Travel: Some Travel Required for On-site Audits About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medicaid Auditor (MAG Auditor) to join our Healthcare & Public Services (H&PS) team. In this role, you will audit financial and statistical cost reporting data to determine accurate reimbursement rates for Medicaid claims. The ideal candidate will have a background in business or accounting, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and experience in auditing or financial compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare tentative and final cost settlements for Medicaid claims reimbursement.Audit financial and statistical data for hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).Apply knowledge of government compliance rules and regulations to recommend financial adjustments or procedural changes.Perform on-site audits at children’s hospitals and other healthcare facilities (travel required).Conduct reconciliation for FQHC quarterly wrap payments.Must-Have QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business or a related fieldIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong time management and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively within a team environmentDegree in AccountingPrior auditing experience, preferably in healthcare or government sectorsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros)Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
