With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, they provide integrated engineering and consulting services for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and more.The Opportunity:My client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems for a variety of building projects, including healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial facilities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to high-profile projects.Key Responsibilities:Design electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, life safety, and security systems, for new construction and modernization projects.Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.Lead project teams and serve as the primary contact for electrical engineering disciplines.Perform QA/QC reviews and prepare detailed design documents.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Coordinate work across multiple disciplines to ensure project success.Support business development efforts by cultivating client relationships and participating in project interviews.You Will Be a Great Fit If You Have:12+ years of electrical engineering experience in the AEC industry.Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia, with the capability to obtain licensure in other states.LEED certification or experience (a plus).Experience with laboratory and medical facility design (preferred).Skills & Abilities:Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.Excellent work ethic and attitude.Strong communication and time management skills.Ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work effectively.Capability to work independently and as part of a team.Why Join My Client?Employee-owned firm with a collaborative and innovative culture.Exciting projects in a variety of industries.Opportunities for professional growth and leadership.Competitive compensation and benefits.My client is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
