Our goal is to employ innovation and strategic thinking by capital project subject matter experts to deliver optimum project results.PTAG’s vision is to help our clients become global leaders in the selection, planning, and execution of their capital and sustaining projects.Our Values IncludeSafety: The safety of our employees, suppliers and clients is our top priorityCollaboration: Creating true partnerships with our clients and service providersLeadership: Improving project performance through the application of best practicesAccountability: Being accountable to our clients for every aspect of engagementClient Satisfaction: Delivering 100% client satisfaction on every projectIntegrity: Open and clear communication in every aspect of our businessLocation: San Jose/Bay Area, CaliforniaType of Employment: ContractJob ID# 6297Role & ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & StrategyProvide strategic leadership in a matrixed environment, driving alignment across engineering, construction, procurement, and client teams.Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes across Data Centers, Transmission, and Substation builds.Full Lifecycle Project ManagementOversee Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Close-out phases.Define project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structures, and ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.Monitor and control scope, schedule, budget, and risk using industry best practices and performance indicators (SPI, CPI).Stakeholder & Communication ManagementServe as the primary interface between clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.Lead regular project reporting and stakeholder updates, ensuring transparency, accountability, and issue resolution.Team & Vendor CoordinationManage cross-functional project teams and third-party contractors, removing barriers to execution and fostering a culture of performance and accountability.Provide oversight on construction and commissioning activities, ensuring delivery to scope and safety standards.Governance & ComplianceImplement and enforce Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards across all phases.Ensure adherence to permitting, regulatory, and interconnection requirements, including those related to DOE or utility funding.Qualifications / RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (required).5 plus years of proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects in Transmission, Substation, or Power Generation (Gas, Hydro, or Renewables).Experience managing Data Center construction or mission-critical facilities is highly valued.Strong working knowledge of project controls, risk management, and earned value management.Familiarity with DOE-funded project requirements and reporting practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools.PMP certification or P.Eng license preferred (or in progress).Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a results-oriented mindset.Why Join PTAG?Opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing consulting firm.Engage with industry leaders and participate in high-profile events.Develop high-impact marketing content that showcases PTAG’s expertise.Competitive salary and benefits package.Flexible work environment with opportunities for professional growth.PTAG is growing and seeking project professionals who want to join a fast paced, innovative, and team-oriented company.
