This position is a full time, long term opportunity that is onsite in Newark, DE.What You'll DoStrong working knowledge of Federal laws, rules, regulations, standards, and State Policy related to how the public assistance programs are administered by the Division of Social Services.Investigate and document constituent complaintsProvide supporting documentation and testimony before administrative bodies or court officialsIdentify fraud or abuse in the public assistance programs, and know how to report it appropriatelyReview and certify 20 cases per day and provide detailed feedback and training opportunities to managementProcess 20 cases a month to retain extensive knowledge of public assistance program policies, procedures, and regulationsMaintain confidentiality in all situationsCommunicate with clients regarding their case as necessaryProvide answers to questions from Product Specialists regarding cases at handAny further duties assigned by managementWhat You'll NeedRequired:One year of experience processing programs of assistance for State governmentOne year of experience determining compliance with State and Federal laws, rules, regulations, policies and proceduresMicrosoft Office Suite experienceData Entry experienceAttention to DetailOutstanding organizational skillsGood analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell organized with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesSolid interpersonal skills, ability to work on a teamAbility to drive work to completion and escalate when necessaryTeam oriented individuals that want to make a difference in the communityTransportation to/from office, dependable and on timeBe available to work a minimum of one Saturday a month if necessary.Preferred:Strong written and verbal bilingual communication skillsOnBase experiencePhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitorThe pay range for this position is $20.00- $22.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
